A Message to the Delegates

Hello! Welcome and Bievenue to the start of an experience that will truly change your life and open doors you never even knew were there.

I know that you are reading this letter because the Miss Canada International organization has seen something amazing in you,. They have found a unique voice that they would like to help share with the world, so congratulations! It is an incredible honour to be selected to represent your community on a National level and a great way to celebrate your past accomplishments. By now you know all about MCI, and the amazing things it represents. You are a member of a fantastic group of hundreds of women who care deeply for the world around them and hope to make a positive change. Some of them took part in years past and some will be joining you as delegates for this year. All of the, all of us, are working towards the same goals and will continue to do so for many years to come,. This is what MCI is; not one woman, but hundreds of women who have achieved great things and continue to do so.

And so you are headed for the pageant, and the chance of a lifetime! You will have a fantastic trip, and I have a few pieces of advice to share with you to make it even better,. Most importantly be yourself no matter what, and take advantage of every experience. The true give of MCI is not the win; it is the 9 days of opportunity you will have to share and network with strong and passionate women from across the country. My time at the pageant was the most life changing of any so far, and the friendship and support I found will last a long time. As cliché as it sounds, I truly hope you see your time ahead as a chance to find your little light hiding inside. Before MCI I was an awkward goof, who tried her best in life, but never really fit in. The appreciation I found at the pageant for free and individual sprit was incredible and I am now much more confident with who I am and proud to be unique. This is why you must really express who you are during your experience, and learn from the women around you! There is so much room to grow and so much fun to be had Laugh until you cry, make a friend from the other side of the country, and try something new. Rally some ideas for philanthropic initiatives and generate the gusto to continue with your education. Do your best to just relax and don't take yourself too seriously. If you are in it for the right reasons, the right things will come your way!

Good luck to each of you and I wish you all the best! I hope to meet you someday.

Yours,

Meghan Williams
