Miss Canada International 2008
Alesia Fieldberg - Alberta

Alesia was crowned Miss Canada International 2008 in Toronto, August 2007.
Orginally from Bindloss, Aleberta, a small, rural community in Southeastern Alberta,
she grew up on a ranch
in the South Saskatchewan River valley with her family:
parents, Owen and Bonnie and two younger sisters, Salena
and Kayla.
Alesia is very close with her family and currently lives with her two sisters in Calgary. Alesia attended elementary and junior high at Bindloss School, and high school at South Central High School, in Oyen, AB. From her scholastic achievements, Alesia was awarded many scholarships and attended the University of Calgary to complete a Baccalaureate of Arts Degree in International Relations in 2005.
Alesia is always very active in extracurricular events and the community. From youth to adulthood she has been successful competing in several sports including track and field, volleyball, and stunt cheerleading.
As a five-year member of the 4-H Club, Alesia held the positions of Treasurer and Secretary, and won many awards in public speaking and showmanship. Alesia has volunteered with several charities including Special Olympics, Operation Christmas Child and The Rainbow Society.
Some of her current volunteer roles are with the Calgary Public Library as a Reading Buddy, with the Cerebral Palsy Association as a Dance Instructor, and with the Calgary Zoo as a Conservation Research Ambassador. In her spare time, Alesia also enjoys traveling, scuba diving, and reading.
During her reign as Miss Canada International, Alesia was given the opportunity to travel across Canada and Europe and visited Germany as Miss Canada International. She made many appearances as Miss Canada International from coast to coast, met many celebrities and volunteered with many charities including her charity platform, Breakfast for Learning.
Following her reign as Miss Canada
International, Alesia used her scholarship award to return to University to
pursue a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
