Miss Leamington 2003
Dear Miss Canada International Staff
Thank you so much! My ten days with MCI staff in Mississauga were amazing! I had a fantastic time from my first phone call to the moment I left.
Pageant week was one of the best experiences so far in my life. Especially the first day I walked into the hotel. It was breathtaking and I felt like I was in a movie. You know a movie like Miss Congeniality. It was a bit scary because I did not know what to expect but all of you were really happy to be there and to greet us and made me feel right at home. I said goodbye to my parents and got to meet all of the girls. That day I also met our Awesome Security and Chaperone Team!!! They did their job well, and all of us adored them.
Even though I remember everything vividly it all went by so fast. Time moves quickly when you're having fun. We had our week filled with rehearsal, great food and events, and then there we were on stage dancing our hearts out. (Bob did a fantastic job teaching us non dancers to hold ourselves on stage) Pageant night was so surreal thinking back, just like a fairy tale. I knew when the judges announced our 2004 Miss and Teen Canada, they had made the best decision possible and I hope that our BC girls are having a blast!
Something that really amazed me though, were the sponsors...Wow! I couldn't believe how many people are giving enough to support an event like that and make all of the 52 girls feel like princesses. It was great! I don't know if they realized it, but without the sponsors it would not of been nearly as much fun. We did so many incredible things because of giving companies and we all felt really important to come back from our events everyday to find such great gifts waiting for us. I wish they could've been there to see our faces but...you know I am not sure why I'm telling you what we did and saw and felt, because you were all there ...sorry... I guess what I'm trying to say is this.
The whole experience was magical and I had the time of my life.
Thank you for working so hard ...( and not sleeping)
Sincerely,
Erin
