Lorraine Savoie 17 years of age from Pokemouche, New Brunswick is the daughter of Livain & Lydia. A grade 12 student of Marie Esther School in Shippagan became Miss Teen Canada Int’l 2001 August 25th, 2000 in Toronto, Ontario. Miss Teen New Brunswick Int’l 2000 has a younger sister Annie.
As Miss Teen Canada Int’l her purpose is to promote tourism, assist charities and organizations as a VIP, attend special events across Canada and be a positive role model for our young people of today. While traveling Lorraine visits many schools, hospitals and senior homes.
Lorraine’s interest include designer fashions, dancing and modeling. She enjoys romantic television shows with her favorite actress being Julia Roberts and favorite actor Ben Affleck, lots of extra activities as President of Student Council and working with Literacy Groups and sick children. She loves traveling and meeting new people. Lorraine's favorite food is chocolate and Cesar salad with chicken.
Upon winning the title of Miss Teen New Brunswick Lorraine could not speak English, she began lessons and can now speak fluent English. Her motto is to make the sun shine in everyone’s heart she meets during her year as Miss Teen Canada Int’l.
Since being crowned Miss Teen Canada Int’l Lorraine has become the official spokesperson for Caroline Cosmetics the official cosmetic of Miss Teen Canada. She appeared in their ad campaigns across the country in magazines and store promos.
In the future Lorraine would like to continue her studies to become a lawyer, the reason she choose this profession is because she wants to be able to help people in need. She believes that obstacles in your life only make you a stronger better person.

What started as a little girl’s dream, became a reality in the summer of 2000. I was crowned Miss Teen Canada International at the age of 17 and it was the beginning of a beautiful year. Since a very young age, I loved performing and giving speeches in front of people. Acting, modeling and volunteer work became an integral part of my responsibilities, so winning the title was definitely a big accomplishment for me. It’s so amazing to be able to live a dream-come-true, and I had several in one year….
During my reign, I worked with the official causes and charities related with the Miss Teen Canada Int’l pageant. I had the opportunity of being the first Caroline Cosmetic spokesperson. I appeared in their ads all across Canada in different magazines and stores. I was very pleased to also be the spokesperson for Payless Shoes, Christina Swimwear, Algo and J.S Group. I had the chance of meeting so many special people that have touched my heart in different ways.
After passing on my crown in 2001, I graduated from Moncton University with a specialization degree in Political Science in New-Brunswick. During my studies, I had the opportunity to represent the Miss Teen Canada International organization at the Miss World Continent pageant in Peru, September 2004. It was an amazing experience that taught me a lot about myself, especially that fact that I was able to be independent and professional, in any new adventure. I travelled alone to a foreign country, where everyone spoke only in Spanish, except for the final night of the competition. After 10 days there, I was amazed to be awarded First Runner-Up, Miss Beauty, Miss Interview and Miss Internet. In 2004, I was hired by Algo to be in the photo ad campaign in Montreal and appeared in their magazine. Since my reign, I had the opportunity to be a guest judge at the Miss Teen Canada International and the Miss Lebanon Canada competitions.
I now reside in our beautiful capital, Ottawa, and work as an Analyst for the Privy Council Office for the Federal Government. In my spare time, I also volunteer for Roger’s House and Esprit Jeunesse.
